Get Half Done exists because the people who needed it most couldn't find it anywhere. So they built it, slowly, imperfectly, and with a lot of tabs left open.

The Origin

It took 6 months to build. For obvious reasons.

Get Half Done took 6 months to build. Not because it's complicated, the guides are 30 pages each. Not because the research was hard to find. Because building a brand about ADHD, while having ADHD, is exactly as difficult as it sounds.

There were weeks where nothing happened. Weeks where everything was redesigned from scratch. Weeks where the whole thing felt pointless and three new ideas started instead. Weeks where a single paragraph got written and that was genuinely the win.

And then slowly, imperfectly, with a lot of half-finished documents and abandoned drafts, it got done. Or half done. Which, for an ADHD brain, is actually the whole point.

The 6 months

How it actually happened..



Month 1 - The idea

Noticed nobody was making a money guide specifically for ADHD brains. Wrote 3 paragraphs. Got distracted. Forgot about it for 2 weeks.



Month 2 - The rabbit hole

Spent 3 weeks researching dopamine, working memory, and time blindness. Genuinely fascinating. 
Wrote very little. Classic.



Month 3 - The restart

Scrapped everything. Started again with a cleaner idea: short guides, one system each, brutally honest tone. First real draft written.



Month 4 - The build

Brand identity, colour palette, product design. Three guides written. Two more started. One abandoned entirely. Progress.



Month 5 - The wall

A bad month. Nothing shipped. The irony of an ADHD productivity brand being derailed by ADHD was not lost on anyone.



Month 6 - The finish

All 5 guides done. Website built. Store live. Not perfect. Half done, which is exactly enough to start.



The mission

We are not a productivity brand. We are the anti-productivity brand.

 Every productivity system ever built was designed by people whose brains run on consistent motivation, reliable memory, and a dopamine system that rewards planning. Most ADHD brains don't work like that.

Get Half Done was built on one belief: what if the system was wrong, not you? What if the reason you have failed at every budget, planner, and morning routine isn't lack of willpower, but that none of them were ever designed for your brain?

Our guides are short, honest, and built around how ADHD brains actually function. Not how they are supposed to. Not how the productivity influencers say they should. How they actually do on a Tuesday where you slept badly and forgot what you were doing three times before lunch.

  3. One thing at a time No 47-step life overhauls. One system. One habit. One win. Compound from there. That's all it takes.

  4. Resets are features, not failures Every guide has a recovery protocol built in, because falling off the system is part of the system. No shame. Just a restart button.

  5.  Honest over polished We say what other productivity brands won't. Including that we built this brand with the exact brain it's designed for.

  6. Half done is enough to start Perfect systems don't exist. A half-built habit beats a perfectly planned one that never starts. Done-ish is the goal.
