About Get Half Done

We are not a
productivity brand.
We are a brand for people
broken by productivity advice.

Every system you have tried was built for a brain with consistent motivation, reliable working memory, and a dopamine system that rewards future planning. That brain is not yours. Get Half Done was built on a different assumption: what if the system was wrong, not you?

The story

It started with a
spreadsheet that lasted four days.

Get Half Done started the way most things do for ADHD brains. A good idea, a burst of energy, a system that felt airtight. This time, it was going to work. It always felt that way at the start.

The spreadsheet had categories. Colour coding. Automatic totals. It was genuinely beautiful. It lasted four days. One missed entry, one moment of friction, one morning where opening it felt like too much. And then it just stopped.

The problem was never discipline. Every productivity system, every budgeting app, every morning routine that failed — they all had one thing in common. They were built for brains that run on consistent motivation and reliable memory. ADHD brains do not work that way. Not on bad days. Sometimes not on good ones either.

So we stopped trying to fix the brain. We started building systems that work with it instead. Short. Honest. Designed for the worst day, not the best one. Tested not in theory but in practice, by someone who needed them to actually work.

That is what Get Half Done is. Not a productivity brand. Not a self-help company. A small set of guides, built carefully, for people who have tried everything else.

These guides were not written by a certified coach, a financial advisor, or a productivity researcher. They were written by someone who has lived every problem inside them. Someone who has paid late fees not because the money was not there but because the bill got buried under everything else. Someone who has started the same task for three weeks running and still could not explain why it remained unfinished.

The guides exist because nothing else worked. And because after enough failed systems, it became clear that the problem was not the person. It was that nobody had built something for this specific brain.

How we build

Three principles.
Everything else follows.

Principle 01
Low friction over high discipline

If a system requires willpower to maintain every single day, it will fail. Every method in our guides was specifically chosen because it works on bad days. Not just the good ones.

Principle 02
One thing at a time

No complete life overhauls. No 47-step programmes. One system, explained clearly, with a single starting point. Complexity is the enemy of follow-through.

Principle 03
Reset is part of the system

Every guide assumes you will fall off. Not as a flaw but as a certainty. The reset protocol is not an afterthought. It is built into the design from the start.

Principle 04
No shame. Ever.

The guides do not lecture. They do not suggest you try harder or want it more. They assume you have already tried that. They start from where you actually are.

What we are not

Worth saying
out loud.

  • ×We are not medical professionals. Nothing here is medical advice.
  • ×We are not financial advisors. Nothing here is financial advice.
  • ×We are not a subscription service. You pay once. You own it forever.
  • ×We are not going to email you every day. We do not do that.
  • ×We are not going to tell you that you just need more discipline. You do not.
